Temple Beth El Architecture and Design Committee

Judd Peskin, Margie Berg, Susan Shaker, Jane Schulman, Donna Feldman, Mollie Plotkin, Dan Plotkin, Bill Firestone, Susan Halpern

Purpose: The purpose of the Architecture and Design Committee is to preserve the architectural integrity of Temple Beth El, while supporting the current and future needs of the congregation.

To accomplish this mission our tasks will include but not be limited to:

1. Establishing a process for approval of physical maintenance and upgrades

2. Establishing a facilities master plan

3. Educating ourselves and the congregation about our facility

Accomplishments this year:

1. Design installation and lighting of bronze plaque commemorating the TBE/CBJ merger

2. Completion of Tree of Life merger and expansion

3. Repair of chapel wood work

4. Replacement of sanctuary rear exit doors.

On-going Efforts

1. CBJ History display-all elements at Welch Design, awaiting design proposal

2. Cataloguing /Curating-ongoing project working toward TBE Centennial

3. Enlarging/Renovating small conference room-plans in progress

4. Comprehensive facilities plan aligned with strategic plan

5. Repair of outdoor brick work
