Israeli Film Series Co-Sponsored with Hadassah
Tuesdays, June 18 at 4:00 pm, July 16 & August 13 at 7:00 pm
Temple Beth El and the Greater Springfield Chapter of Hadassah are presenting a series of Israeli films, with a discussion to follow. On June 18, we will watch "H.I. Jew Positive." This Israeli documentary follows the stories of young Polish citizens who discover that they are Jewish, after their parents kept their true identities hidden from them. On July 16, we'll watch "The Syrian Patient." In this documentary, a Syrian patient who was brought to an Israeli hospital under cover of darkness develops a special relationship with the Israeli surgeon who saved his life. On August 13, we'll watch "Rescue Bus 300," an intense docu-drama based on the 1985 hijacking of bus line 300, in which 41 passengers and a bus driver were attacked and held hostage.
There will be a $5.00 charge to attend each session. Everyone is welcome!
